So-called ‘bout de canapé’, based on an 18th century design by Bernard Vanrissenburgh, crafted by Gervais Maximilien Eugene DURAND in the late 19th century, stamped on the underside, curved oak frames, veneered with rosewood and mahogany, inlaid with various precious woods partly in cross-grained technique in the form of leafy tendrils, with polished finish in traditional artisanal technique, one drawer each, finely chiselled gilt bronze mounts, top with moulded edging, 73 x 62 x 38 cm, beautiful professionally restored condition.
