Description
Elegant French demi-lune salon cabinet by the prestigious Parisian firm Maison Krieger, crafted in the late 19th century. The rounded oak body is finely veneered in mahogany and rosewood, enriched with high-quality marquetry in exotic woods, arranged in decorative panel and ornamental patterns. The surface is traditionally French-polished, highlighting the luxurious finish.
The cabinet features one door and one drawer, fitted with a lock stamped:
“Mon Krieger Ameublement Paris” – an important sign of authenticity.
Superbly chased and gilt-bronze mounts and mouldings enhance the refined craftsmanship. The piece is topped with a profiled marble slab, adding further elegance.
Presented in excellent, professionally restored condition.

Historical significance:
Maison Krieger (1826–1910) was among the leading Paris luxury furniture manufacturers of the 19th century. Award-winning at the Great Exhibitions London 1851 and Paris 1855, the company also trained François Linke, who later continued selling works under the Krieger name.
