Description

Elegant kidney-shaped salon table in Louis XV style, attributed to the celebrated French ébéniste François Linke. The finely shaped hardwood frame is partially veneered with rosewood, featuring panelled and lattice-style marquetry in various exotic woods. The traditional French-polished finish highlights the refined grain and warm tones of the veneers.

The table is richly decorated with delicately chased and gilt-bronze mounts, including a profiled gilt-bronze border framing the top. One bronze mount is signed “F. Linke”, confirming its prestigious provenance.

Presented in excellent, professionally restored condition – a sophisticated and highly collectible piece from the golden age of Parisian decorative arts.
