Description
Elegant round bouillotte table by the renowned Parisian firm Escalier de Cristal, crafted in the Louis XVI style in the late 19th to early 20th century. Made primarily of mahogany and mahogany veneer, the table stands on turned and fluted legs. The frieze is finely painted on a gilded ground with cherubs and floral motifs. It features one drawer, finely chased and gilded bronze mounts, and a gilt-bronze rim. The tabletop is covered with embossed leather. The underside bears the branded mark Escalier de Cristal Paris. Measuring 75 cm in height and 65.5 cm in diameter, the piece presents itself in beautifully and professionally restored condition.

Founded in 1802 by Marie-Jeanne-Rosalie Desarnaud, Escalier de Cristal became one of the most elegant and prestigious luxury houses of 19th-century Paris. The company produced high-quality decorative objects in rock crystal, glass, and bronze, and later in finely veneered furniture. Among its distinguished clientele were Napoleon I, Napoleon III, and King Louis-Philippe.
