Description
Maison Krieger, Paris, crafted in the last quarter of the 19th century after an 18th-century model by Jean-Henri Riesener. Made of mahogany and oak, partly veneered with mahogany, polished using traditional craftsmanship. Features a richly detailed and superbly executed gilt-bronze ornamentation, including profile moldings and panel framing. The front comprises two drawers, one drop-front writing surface, an intermediate compartment with five inner drawers, and a leather-covered writing surface. Topped with a “Bleu Turquin” marble slab. Dimensions: 122 x 66 x 37 cm. Beautifully and professionally restored condition.
