Description

Elegant salon commode / Commode à Portes, after a celebrated model by the royal ébéniste Jean-François Oeben from the 18th century. Executed in the late 19th century, this piece reflects the refined craftsmanship of Parisian decorative arts.

The body is made from various hardwoods and softwoods and is finely veneered in rosewood, complemented by marquetry in partially dyed exotic woods. The surface has been traditionally French-polished, enhancing the warm tones and depth of the veneers.

Fitted with two doors and richly adorned with gilt-bronze mounts, the commode is completed by a profiled marble top, adding both elegance and authenticity.
