Description
An exceptional pair of Louis XVI-style appliques, crafted in the mid-19th century by the renowned Parisian bronzier Blaise Millet. These wall lights feature finely chased, gilded bronze shafts, richly decorated with fluting, flowers, leaves, and an elegantly modelled bow. Each sconce is three-light, signed “Millet à Paris” and marked BM on the reverse, reflecting the highest level of 19th-century French craftsmanship. With an impressive height of 58 cm, they make a striking addition to any refined interior. Traces of former electrification are present. Blaise Millet founded the famous Maison Millet together with his brother Théodore Millet in 1853.
