Restoration of antique furniture

In our studio in Vienna-Alsergrund, we work as we did in centuries past. The same materials are used, as well as traditional craft methods and processes. Our working areas are:

  • Restoration of veneered and solid furniture. We only use sawn veneers and precious woods from recuperation in order to comply with species protection laws.
  • Gilding of antique metallic objects such as bronze fittings, clock cases, candelabras, etc.
  • Profiling and repairing marble furniture panels.
  • Wallpapering of seating furniture based on seaweed and horsehair.
  • Renewing damaged, gold-embossed leather supports on desks and secretaries.

If you have a precise idea of what you have been looking for, perhaps unsuccessfully for a long time, then we will find it through our decades-old Europe-wide network, buy it for you and, if necessary, restore it. You will then get exactly what you are looking for in perfect condition.

 

Art Consulting

We are also available if, for example, you are interested in an item at auction. We will take a close look at the condition of the object and tell you what additional restoration costs you might have to pay after the purchase.

We are happy to cooperate with your interior designer, who may know a lot about aesthetics and creativity, but is not a proven art expert or cannot find the ideal objects. If they decide to include antique objects in their home furnishings, then not only the look but also the value should be right.
