Description

Elegant Louis XV-style salon commode from France, dating to the late 19th century. The finely crafted oak corpus features a three-sided serpentine shape and is beautifully veneered with rosewood and kingwood. The finely executed, panel-shaped marquetry demonstrates the high level of craftsmanship of the period. The surface has been traditionally French-polished, enhancing the warm glow of the precious woods.

The commode offers two spacious drawers and richly detailed gilt-bronze mounts. The original, shaped Rouge de Languedoc marble top provides a luxurious color accent. The piece is in excellent, professionally restored condition – an authentic and decorative highlight for classic interiors.
